Rough Guide to the Rocky Mountains

Alf is one of three authors to have worked on the Rough Guide to the Rocky Mountains. This involved five months of ‘field’ (ok, mountain) work, 11,000 miles of driving through Montana and Idaho and endless long, dark winter nights of writing.

The end result has left yer man a fount of knowledge on all things Montanan and Idahoan – from where to see a grizzly without being eaten to where to bike, ski, raft, hike, drink, eat and slip over on that awkward bit of icy sidewalk.

So if you want to know ANYTHING at all about Idaho and Montana’s Rocky Mountain region this is the man to contact

Rough Guide to Skiing & Boarding in North America

Alf wrote the Montana and Idaho chapters of the Rough Guide to Skiing and Boarding in North America, having skied every resort in each state.

This is some of North America’s least known, least crowded and best skiing, so if you’re looking for the lowdown on Sun Valley, Big Sky, Bridger Bowl or any one of a number of lesser known resort, this is the dude to call!

And he’s also skied most of the resorts in neighbouring British Columbia too…
